Eventing 2025 and into 2026 … Not that I ever even finished 2024 but it was a busy and incredible year travelling up and down England and ending in the south of France!!

March - The month it all begins

(Harry Meade with Grafennacht)

2025 again started in March at Poplar Park and what a difference a year makes. One year it's windy and showers and the next is pure spring sunshine! Again top combinations heading here to get their first run of the season in and all in preparation for the big spring and summer aims. One of these being at the end of the month at the first International event of the year at Thoresby Park where once again the dressage took place in the beautiful walled gardens and the showjumping and cross country taking place around the beautiful grounds.

Weekends in between supporting the team at events and again some lovely days in the sunshine. Tweseldown an event spending time making memories with friends and family - My god daughter showing that people of all ages enjoy eventing and Barbury an event I always enjoy and one that will forever be a special to me.

April - The month we thought we were bonkers

April began with a little trip to a local event, with the following weekend having a plan of a bonkers trip to Burnham Market - an event I visited for the first time last year and couldn't wait to go back again for the 3* and 4*. A Wedding on Saturday in Oxfordshire then up to Norfolk for the Sunday, no problem we said and that is what we did.

(Tom Jackson with United 36)   (Stephen Heal with Quidam De Lux )

Another couple of smaller events then rounded up April before heading into May.

May - The busy month

May Like April started in the same way before heading onto what is undoubtably the biggest event on the British Eventing Season, Badminton!

(Tom Rowland with Monbeg Skyfall)

Badminton what an experience for 2025 and summed up in three words Busy, Epic and Unbelievable. A great time supporting teams from the Trot up in front of the house, the dressage and showjumping from the atmospherical arena and the cross country with its impressively designed and built course - with its many spectators along the ropes. Concluding with another great win for Ros Canter and Lordship Graffalo!

The following week was then spent at 2 events, a mammoth 4 days of eventing. Thursday and Friday at Aston Le Walls before embarking on a long trip up to Belsay for the weekend - a great venue to have onto the calendar with its beautiful cross country course in stunning scenery.

June - The month of new adventures

After a few quieter weekends it was already into June and a quieter month ahead was on the cards, however it had some new trips planned. To begin with it started at Bramham and this is always another fantastic event with great 4* action and time spent with amazing eventing friends.

(Piggy March with MCS Maverick)   (Louise Romeike with Caspian 15)

It was then onto a long weekend trip to Luhmuhlen - a brand new event for me and one I would 100% go back to and recommend a visit to for any eventing fan - it was stunning and it certainly helped with the amazing sunshine.

(Laura Collett with London 52) (Jesse Campbell with Cooley lafitte) (Ros Canter with Izilot DHI)

June finished off with a day at Farley Hall and another venue with a beautifully designed course and undisturbed background views.

July - The month of events revisited

July started off fairly quiet again but in between this was 3 days at an absolute favourite mid week event, Upton, with its beautiful views which make for again even more stunning backgrounds. Sunshine, eventing and big pats at this event what more could you want.

(Yasmin Ingham with Goliath Du loir)

It was then onto Aston Le Walls and for the final weekend of the month a long travel north to Burgham an event that pretty much holds classes at every level and again a great place to catch up with eventing friends and fellow photographers.

(Tom Rowland with Dreamliner and Sarah Bullimore with Corimiro) (Laura Collett with Count Onyx and Selina Milnes with Rebel Van De Noordheuvel)

August - The quiet month

August was a very quiet month and only 2 events on the calendar. Hartpury International being the first of these incorporating the British Eventing National Championships.

(Sam Gillespie with Florissa)   (David Doel with Galileo Nieuwmoed)

Followed by a day trip to Chard to support the team at the end of the month with a couple of good results on the day.

(Tom Rowland with Victoremz Mission)

September - The non stop month

Always during September you hear one of us eventing fans and photographers questioning why we do it, it's honestly non stop but in the end we all say it's worth it and we love it. It always starts at the great 5* event that is Burghley and this year was no less amazing than any other year. We love Burghley and 2025 was the year Walter (Lordships Graffalo) makes history!

(Laura Collett with Bling and Will Rawlin with Ballycoog Breaker Boy) (Austin Oconnor with Sixmilewater and Ros Canter with Lordships Graffalo)

The following week it's on to the beautiful Cornbury house where every phase takes place in a beautiful part of the stunning venue. There is always a hive around the main arena and it's a great event to showcase the great up and coming young event horses and international classes.

(Tom Rowland with You'll Never Walk Alone) (Aaron Millar with Exchange) (Lana Bennett with Maybe This Time II)

The final big event of September was Blenheim. This year hosting the European champions but also not to be forgotten was the 8/9 year old class - the stars of the future!

(Laura Collett with London 52 and Lucinda Mesquita with DSH Golden Eye) (Tom Mcewen with JL Dublin and Samantha Lissington with Quantas R)

October - The month where it ends

Eventing as it does every year concluded in October, but this year with some low level events. Starting at Tweseldown and ending not like the previous 2 years in the south of France at Pau 5* but at a lovely new event in Tetworth, in some ways sticking with the french theme at the Le Chameau Water Fence.

(Tom Rowland with He's a Contender)   (Tom Rowland with Odynn de Jeu)

A massive continued THANK YOU for all the support from Friends, Family, Riders, Owners, Teams and fellow photographers. I think we are all looking forward to another year ahead and catching up after winter.

And a Thank you to the new favourite eventing sweets that fuelled us all in 2025 and that are ]making a comeback for 2026!

See you soon and hopefully wont be as long next time x
